Hello! I was raised in a midwest, homeschool family, the second oldest of eight. I don’t remember ever not being competitive or ever being able to sit still for long. Initially, I wanted to be in the coast guard, and obtained my EMT-B license right after graduating high school. I had also fallen in love with one of my best friends and couldn’t let him get away, so I got married at 20 and moved to Austin, TX.
I rerouted my plans a bit and ended up working retail, homeschooling for a couple of families, nannying, and helping Scott run a kids program at our church for those first 3 years of marriage. Scott and I had our first 2 kids within 14 months of each other and at the same time we moved back to Missouri to regroup and try to figure out how to help people outside of the confines of religion.
We ended up in Southern California, one of the best places on earth. I love the weather, the beach, the mountains - this is definitely home. When our 3rd kid was 18 months old I became a Certified Personal Trainer and worked at the YMCA (Y), slowly building my style and passion to help others realize their physique and fitness goals. After 10 years at the Y, COVID and all the changes that came with that pushed me into an amazing world of training and coaching on my own. I built a rugged, but huge video exercise library (feel free to use!) and began training on driveways, in garages, and now in my own home gym as well.
I’m passionate about health, about finding balance in a crazy and chaotic life, about fitness, about carving out time for hobbies and fun, about helping others become the best version of themselves, and figuring out what that even looks like from person to person. We all have past experiences to learn from, current schedules we attempt to manage, and dreams for the future. I absolutely love taking wisdom from those past experiences in order to slowly integrate habits that create the schedules we want now, so we can realize our dreams for the future.
